1984/85--Guns N'Roses evolve from two local Los Angeles bands,Hollywood Roseand LA Guns. 


June 1985--Slash and Steven Adler of Road Crew join in time for Guns N'Roses 
brief 'Hell Tour'-first gigs by the 'classic' line-up


August 1986--Guns N'Roses sign to Geffen Records


December 1986--Guns N'Roses release their Live ?!*@Like A Suicide EP, in a limited edition
of 10,000 vinyl copies,on Uzi Suicide Records
 (a pseudo-independent imprint created by Geffen for the band)


June,1987--The band fly to London for their European debut, three (non-consecutive) nights 
at the Marquee club


August 1987--Appetite For Destruction released


November 1987--Guns N'Roses return to the UK for a five-date headlining tour


August 1988--Third European visit, to play Monsters 
Of Rock at Castle Donington in the UK. Tragically, two fans are killed 
in the crush in front of the stage 


December 1988--Guns N'Roses Lies-The Sex,The Drugs, The Violence, The shocking truth
is released with four acoustic tracks plus the four tracks from Live ?!*@ like a Suicide 


October 1989--The band play play four packed gigs with the Rolling Stones at the
 Los Angles Colliseum


April 1990--The band played the Farm Aid concert and   recruit Dizzy Reed, 
the first 'new' member of 
Guns N'Roses, to paly keyboards


July 1990--Steven Adler is fired


August 1990--Ex-Cult drummer Matt Sorum is recruited 


January 1991--New line up debuts in front of 140,000 fans at the 
Rock In Rio II festival in Brazil 


May 1991--Guns N'Roses begin their mammonth world tour, 
dubbed 'Get In The Ring', with
'live rehearsals' at clubs in San Francisco, Los Angles and New York


July 1991--Guns N'Roses find themselves in the middle of a 
riot at the Riverport Arts Centre in 
St.Louis  and  a warrant is issued for  Axl's arrest for inciting it


August 1991--The band play European stadium gigs for a  month


September 1991--The band finally release 
Use Your Illusion Volumes 1& II.
Izzy Stradlin is rumoured  to have quit the band  only days later 
October 1991--Steven Adler files 
legal proceedings against Guns N'Roses 


November 1991---Izzy's departure made official 


April 6,1992--Guns N'Roses appear at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert
For ADIS Awareness 


May 1992--Slash and Metallica's Lars Ulrich announce a joint summer tour of the
America, before Guns N'Roses played another series of the European dates


July 1992--Guns N'Roses and Mettallica begin their 25-date US tour 


August 1992--A riot follows a disrupted Guns N'Roses set Montreal, Canada. 
The same night, Metallica's James Hetfield is badly burned by onstage pyrotechnics


November 1992--Guns N'Roses tour south America 

December 1992--Guns N'Roses release two concert videos:Use Your Illusion 
World Tour and Live In Tokyo Volumes 1& II


January 1993--Pacific tour covers Australia, New Zealand and Japan


February 1992--America touring continues, with a 
slimmed-down line-up and a new title 'Skin And Bones'


May 1993--Izzy Stradlin briefly rejoins the band for  
European dates including gigs in the UK, Greece and Israel


July 1993--The world touring  finally ends with a return to Brazil


September 1993--The band settle their  legal differences with 
Steven Adler,with a $2.5{{1.7) million out-of-court payment


October 1993--Duff Mckagan  release Believe In Me, 
a solo album recording during the band's world tour 


November 1993--The punk EP is finally released as a 
full-length album of varied cover-versions, called 
The Spaghetti Incident?
